HP Recommended

So I've been using the 14-cm0xxx for about a year now and for the life of me I haven't been able to figure out how to fix the display on it. The screen at default settings is washed out and low contrast. I sat through Taran Van Hemert's hour long video on display colour accuracy and did everything in my ability to get an accurate display but I have not been able to do it. Does anyone have any advice?
