Bought a printer the other day, but when I go to Wireless Wizard Setup, the printer doesn't detect my network. It detects plenty of other networks in the area, but not mine. This is the only device with this problem; phones and computers detect and connect just fine.

Make sure your router has the 2.4G band enabled and using a different name than the 5G band.   Power cycle the router.  Make sure printer is at least 5 feet away from router.   Reset the printer back to Network Defaults and start again.

Hi,

May you have a dual band router?

If you may have a such, be sure to enable 2.4GHz wireless broadcasting with a unique name, the printer do not support the

5GHZ frequency range:

Additionally, how far is the printer located from the router? to ensure it is within its range ensure the printer is not too far away from the router, as well do not place it closer that 2 meters away..

Hope that may help,

Shlomi

I had a problem with my HP 3830 printer going  offline all the time and HP tried every possible solution.  None offered here worked.  What worked was getting a new printer that was compatible with a dual band router.  I had just bought the 3830.  It was less than two months old.  Now I have an HP ENVY 7855 that is compatible with dual band router.  No problems since.
