HP Officejet 6820
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey,

I'm having a problem to connect my HP Officejet 6820 to the internet. It worked just fine for about 2 years until it suddenly decided to not connect to the internet anymore. Nothing has changed in the set-up.

When I printed the WiFi test it told me that the filtering of MAC-adresses possibly could be enabled in my router. The filtering of MAC-adresses is disabled (I dubble-checked). I started searching the web and came across some posts on this forum with people experiencing the same trouble I have. Although there are some solutions, non of them work for me.

Some Specs:

printer: HP Officejet 6820

The modem brand: ZTE

The modem model: H369A

Age mode: 2 years

I will try to enlist all the things I already tried:

- Reset WiFi-settings on printer

- Reset printer to factory settings

- delete and re-install drivers printer

- Restart modem

- Reset modem to factory settings

- Add mac-adres of printer to the "enabled MAC-adresses list" of the modem, which ofcourse didn't make a difference because the filtering of mac-adresses is disabled...

Someone who can give me some new ideas or a solution?

Many thanks!!

@jetipo, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that you are unable to connect the printer to the network and I appreciate your time and efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

Since you have already tried all the steps, here are a few things you can try in addition to it-

Reset the router password and try connecting the printer.

If you still have issues, reset the router and try again.

And finally, we can try a complete reset on the printer. The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset, and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps!
