I am a teacher in CT and because this is a personal classroom printer I use for student work, my District won't permit access to the school's WiFi, and when trying to use their (much slower) "Open" network, the printer cannot reach the "HP Connected" website.  In an effort to just use the WiFi Direct or Bonjour wireless connection the printer has locked me out!  For some reason, it says I must input the CLAIM CODE given to the buyer...I don't have it and can't reach HP Support because of my WiFi connection issues!

How do I get HP to give me the Claim Code that goes w my Serial Number?

Help!

@PHDatBVMS, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Is the printer enrolled to Instant Ink?

Are you using Instant Ink cartridges from HP?

If the printer is enrolled to Instant Ink, it has to be on a Network. The printer will not work on a Open/Public network.

Click the HP ePrint icon, then tap Settings and select Remove Web Services.

Click once again the ePrint icon and follow the steps to re-enable web services, a new information sheet with a valid claim code will be printed.

If web services are not enabled, Enable Web services, refer to this document to know how.

Let me know how this goes.
