I just purchased a HP Pagewide Pro MFP - have to say my worst decision to date
This thing looks great but I seem to be locked out of it. I cannot factory reset it. I have tried to setup the email scan via the web browser. I kept putting in my SMTP detail and password. It kept tellign me they didnt match, i reset my password and then reentered in the smtp it still kept telling me they were incorrect. I was so hacked off I abandoned this and then proceeded to set myself a security password for the printer. It now wont allow me to log back in.
Nowwhere does it give you an option to rset password. I followed previous post by pegus and cannot reset this printer. I need help before I throw it back in the box and send it back - making it my last ever HP purchase. Thanks

I've had my HP PageWide Pro MFP 477dw for about 7 months and have literally printed thousands and thousands of pages and it has been nothing but a good experience. UNTIL I somehow locked the printer and could no longer connect wirelessly, and I couldn't even print when my laptop was plugged in to the back of the printer. I seriously tried for HOURS & HOURS, utilizing every tip I could find with zero luck. I finally found this YouTube video that was AMAZING!!! It completely reset my settings on my printer and it is working like a champ again. Here is the link to the YouTube video --Good luck!!
