Welcome to HP Forums,
Let's get straight to it!
I've confirmed that your printer specifications: Click here to verify, does not support wireless or Bluetooth, the only way to connect your device to a computer is via the USB cable.
That said, I personally suggest you try the below steps, however, this is a workaround and may or may not work:
- Step 1
- Choose an adapter type. If your printer has a USB port for flash drives, choose the USB "stick" adapter style. Otherwise, choose the type that has a jack for the USB cable.
- Step 2
- Plug the "stick" style adapter into the printer and remove the USB cable from the computer. If you are using the other type of adapter, remove the USB printer cable from the computer and plug it into the Bluetooth adapter. Plug in the adapter if it has a power cord.
- Step 3
- Enable Bluetooth on your computer if it isn't enabled by default. Click the "Bluetooth" icon in the toolbar, next to the system clock, and select "Enable," "On" or "Search for Devices," depending on your operating system.
- Step 4
- Turn on the printer. Your computer should automatically detect the new hardware and walk you through the installation. If this doesn't occur, insert the installation CD provided with the adapter into your optical drive and follow the prompts.
- Tip
- Before you buy an adapter, make sure your printer make and model are listed in the "Supported Printers" section on the adapter packaging.
Keep me posted, as I (Or a trusted colleague) shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,
And your device is up and running again, only in case you don't get back to us, first!
That said, If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That'll help us, and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.
