HP Pro Officejet 8024- work with hotspot?

does anyone know if the Pro office jet 8024 works on hotspot?

It may or may not. HP does not recommend this way of connection. 

You can use Wi-Fi Direct instead: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04090221

To turn on Wi-Fi Direct, follow these steps: 1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wi-Fi Direct). 2. Touch ( Settings ). 3. If the display shows that Wi-Fi Direct is Off , touch Wi-Fi Direct and then switch it on.
