Hi,
HP Smart App on iOS device never prints on LaserJet Pro M12w.
I downloaded the HP Smart app you suggested. The app “found” my printer & appears on screen as if it’s working, but the document never actually prints from the printer.
Here’s what I did:
Opened a pdf document;
Copied it to the HP Smart app & opened the document from within the app;
The app recognized my printer & I clicked on the print button;
The app goes through the steps of sending the pages (1, 2, & 3) to the printer & appears to work fine;
BUT then the pages never actually come out of the printer.
I can direct print without any issue from my MacBook Pro . Any ideas why the printer is not ‘receiving’ the document from the iPhone via the Smart app & printing it? Maybe it’s a setting somewhere?
Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi,
The HP Laserjet Pro M12w printer is supported on computers or Android devices using the HP Print Service plugin, it is not compatible with iOS devices:

So why did you say it was supported on iOS with the HP Smart app ? (cf. photo from an old reply you have posted yourself )
I can confirm it was initially intended to work on iPhones, with the HP ePrint app, now retired, and then with the HP Smart app.
By the way, even the direct print doesn't work on iOS, but works on MacOS.
Please consider a solution because this is totally misleading information and should be reported as a fault to consumer laws !

First, be aware that I'm replying on my personal time and not on behalf of HP, see the Terms of Use and Rules of Participation of the community.
The printer is not supported on iOS, as clearly listed on its specifications...
The specific printer was never meant or supported on iOS devices and not compatible with a such.

Yes, this is wrong indeed as said above, the printer is not supported on iOS as listed by any of its documentation and cannot be use on the operating system, as said this was not any official response and I'm not representing HP but volunteering in the community to assist others, any official information is clearly listed at hp.com, any post represents a user opinion in the community and there can always be errors, as the community terms of participation...
