I used the App store to get my HP Smart app loaded onto my Apple iPhone SE. When I open it and get started I only get as far as "Do you want to help make HP Smart better by sharing usage data?" and it locks up and and won't respond to either Yes or NO.
We just purchased the HP Officejet Pro 9018 and I am trying to get it setup to be able to print from my iPhone but no success, Help.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Step 1: Set up the network connection
Wirelessly connect the printer and the Apple device to use AirPrint.
-
On your Apple device, make sure Wi-Fi is on and there is a check mark next to the name of your local Wi-Fi network. If you are connected to a different network, tap the name of your network to join it.
Go to Finding Your Wireless Password if you do not know the network login information.
note:If a local network is unavailable or you use a USB cable to connect the printer to a computer, go to How do I use AirPrint if a Wi-Fi network is not available? for steps to use the Wi-Fi Direct or HP wireless direct printer connection.
-
Check the printer network connection status.
-
Printers with a touchscreen control panel: Touch the Wireless icon
or open the Network Settings or Setup menu to view the network connection status.
-
Printers without a touchscreen control panel: Press the Wireless
and Information
buttons at the same time or press the Wireless and Start Copy Black
buttons at the same time. A Wireless Test Report prints with the network connection status.
-
-
Do the following, depending on the connection status.
-
If the printer is connected to the network, skip to the step to print from your device.
-
If the printer is not connected to the network, continue to the next step.
-
-
Connect the printer to the network.
-
Printers with a touchscreen control panel: On the printer, open the Setup, Network, or Wireless menu, select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then follow the instructions to connect the printer to your network.
-
Printers without a touchscreen control panel: Press and hold the Wireless
and Cancel buttons at the same time until the Power light flashes, and then wait for the Wireless light to flash. For Tango printers, press and hold the Wireless button onthe rear of the printer for five seconds until the Edge lighting flashesblue.
Within two hours, press and hold the WPS button (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) on the router until the connection process begins. The Wireless light on the printer stops flashing when the connection completes.
-
Step 2: Print from your Apple device
Print documents, photos, and webpages using AirPrint.
-
Make sure the printer is turned on, ink cartridges are installed, and plain paper is loaded in the main tray.
-
Open the item you want to print, and then tap the Share icon
or
.
-
Tap Print or the Print icon
to open Printer Options.
-
Tap Select Printer to select your printer.
-
Change any of the following print job settings. Available settings vary depending on the app you are printing from, the print job type, and your printer.
-
Paper: Make any paper size changes on the printer. AirPrint automatically detects the paper size loaded in the printer or the size selected on the printer control panel. If the detected size is different than the paper in the tray, an error might display asking to confirm the size.
-
Number of copies: Select how many copies you want to print.
-
Black & White: Select to print in grayscale. This option only displays for color printers.
-
Double-sided printing: Print on both sides of the paper for certain file types.
-
Page range: Select specific pages within a document or webpage to print.
-
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
