If your HP Smart Tank 5000/5100 All-in-One Printer is showing "Printer is busy" and not printing, try these troubleshooting steps:
- Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait 1-2 minutes, and turn it back on.
- Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer and look for any jammed paper inside.
- Ensure Sufficient Ink: Make sure the ink levels are not too low.

Restart the Print Spooler (Windows Users):
- Press
Win + R
, typeservices.msc
, and hit Enter. - Scroll down to Print Spooler, right-click, and select Restart.
- Press

Check the Printer Queue:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP Smart Tank 5000 and select See what's printing.
- If there are stuck print jobs, click Cancel All Documents.

Reinstall the Printer Drivers:
- Uninstall the printer software from your computer.
- Download and install the latest drivers from HP official website.
