HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-In-O
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

1)  I recently purchased and installed a new HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-In-One printer. This printer replaced my inoperative HP Photoshop Premium All-In-One C309g printer.

2)  Now when I try to open the HP Solution Center I get the following error: “HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete. It instructs the consumer to plug in the USB cable or run the setup program from the installation CD for a network installation. If this does not complete the installation, or you do not have a CD, access the HP help files by clicking the Start menu.”

3)  I don’t understand. Everything works except the HP Solution Center. Note that although an Installation CD came with the printer, my HP DESKTOP D9T73M7 does not have a way to play the CD. Please help me resolve this issue.

4)  The HP Solution Center was how I previously controlled my HP Photoshop Premium All-In-One C309g printer.

HP Solution Center is too old for your printer now.  Have you installed software and drivers for new printer on your computer yet?

  • If no, you have to install printer software first using the CD which comes with new printer.
  • If Yes, you now have HP Printer Assistant and you should un-install HP Solution Center. You can use Printer Assistant to perform many tasks as before and your printer now sits under HP Support Assistant (HPSA), similar to

the old solution centre was wonderful for scanning multiple pages to one document. I installed this printing center or whatever it is called and could not find any functionality that would let me do that kind of thing.  Obviously missing something somewhere.

thanks.  Peter
