Hi @ChrisHas1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be an issue with the paper feed or the printer's settings. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check Paper Alignment: Make sure the photo paper is properly aligned in the paper tray. Improper alignment can cause the printer to misfeed or eject the paper.
- Paper Type Settings: Ensure that the paper type settings on the printer match the type of photo paper you are using. For example, if you're using glossy photo paper, select the glossy paper option in the printer settings.
- Paper Size Settings: Verify that the paper size settings on both your printer and in the printing software match the size of the photo paper you're using (e.g., 4x6 inches, 5x7 inches).
- Paper Quantity: Make sure you're not overloading the paper tray. If you're trying to print multiple photos, try printing fewer at a time to see if the issue persists.
- Clean Paper Feed Rollers: Dust and debris on the paper feed rollers can cause feeding problems. Clean the rollers carefully with a lint-free cloth dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol.
- Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause printing issues.
- Reset Printer: Try resetting your printer to its default settings. This can often resolve various issues.
By going through these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue with your HP DeskJet 4222e printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
