Hi,
I have a HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w and I use the ePrint function to print from anywhere on this printer.
Printing works so far fine, but it takes very long till the print starts. Sometime more than 5 or 10 minutes.
What could be here the problem?
It is independent if the printer is active or in standby mode - it takes always a long time till print job starts...
Hopefully someone can help me.
Thanks

Welcome to the HP User Community.
Oddly, i do not find this printer listed as supporting ePrint in the Mobile Print documents.
Mobile Printing – Options for Printers
Print from your Android, iOS, or Amazon Fire device with the HP Mobile printing app.
Open the section for your printer series > Find your printer and supported applications.

Regardless, if you are using ePrint, it is apparently supported on your printer.
Why does an ePrint job take longer than you want to wait?
There is no "set" response time for ePrint.
What?
ePrint is a free service that works as it will.
Whether ePrint works - and when it does work, how fast it works - depends on a bunch of related factors, including:
- How fast the job gets from the "send from" starting point to the HP server farm where the jobs are handled,
- How much ePrint traffic there is on the server that will handle the job,
- How much traffic there is on the way to your printer,
- How well - and how fast - your network responds to the incoming request,
And finally,
- Whether the job is set up correctly so the printer will quickly accept and process the request.

You could try stopping / starting Web Services - likely won't make a speed difference, but it is "something to try"...
If you believe the problem is on "your side", you could try Restarting everything, including your router.
Again. doing so might not make a difference but it is usually harmless.
