Hi, I am trying to help my neighbour. He mainly wants to print off his emails.
He has a Kindle HD bought in 2016.
I tried before to print to his HP 2540 using the HP Print Plugin app.
I followed these instructions, they worked once then failed to work again.
Looks like I should now be using the HP ePrint app.
But it is no longer supported by Amazon.
So.... WHAT DO I NOW.... get him to buy an Epson?
Your support would be appreciated.
Many thanks everybody.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Firstly, let's perform printer hard reset and check.
1) Take out the cartridges.
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi Echo_Lake,
Thanks for your reply.
Since posting, my neighbour has given his HP 2540 to a local charity.
So I will never know if your hard reboot would have worked.
He has found himself a printer that works and is very reliable - ME - lol.
Love your screen name.
But this still does not answer the main question - WHY NO AMAZON APP ?
Best wishes

To get the answer to this question, The HP ePrint is not available as software is discontinued, Instead, you can use HP Smart App
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
