I was wondering how many watts my HP pavillion desktop 590-p0050 can have , cause I'm planning to add a gtx 1660 to it but that means I would have to add a bigger power supply, so what power supply should I add to it that's compatible with my desktop, and can handle a gtx 1660?

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!
Your HP Pavilion 590-p0050 (3LA16AA), according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06000982, and: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/?searchtext=3LA16AA&searchby=product, is fitted with a Lincs motherboard (SSID: 843B) and a 310-watt power supply with p/n: L03980-800, p/n: L03980-800, or p/n: L64961-800, please verify.
In order to be able to power a GTX 1660 which requires an 8-pin PCIe power cable, you should upgrade your power supply with either a 400-watt power supply, with p/n: L04618-800, or a 500-watt power supply, with p/n: L05757-800. Both power supplies can be purchased online, such as eBay.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
