Hi @Grjoy,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 prints fine from HP Smart but won’t AirPrint from your iPhone, here’s what I would request you to try.
Why AirPrint Fails
- The printer and iPhone are not on the same Wi-Fi network.
- AirPrint is disabled or blocked by router settings.
- Printer firmware or iOS needs an update.
Fixes
1. Check Network
- Ensure your printer and iPhone are connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Avoid guest networks or VPNs.
2. Restart Devices
- Restart your printer, router, and iPhone.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- On the printer panel:
- Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer.
- Or download from HP Drivers & Downloads.
4. Enable AirPrint
- On the printer:
- Setup > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > AirPrint → Turn On.
5. Test AirPrint
- On iPhone:
- Open the document → Tap Share → Print → Select your HP printer.
- If the printer doesn’t appear, check that Bonjour is enabled on your router.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
