Hi @Do77,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 4524 printer is no longer connecting to devices for printing, there could be several reasons behind this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
- Check Connectivity: Ensure that both your printer and the devices you're trying to print from are connected to the same network. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure the Wi-Fi is working properly.
- Restart Devices: Restart your printer and the devices you're trying to print from. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
- Printer Status: Check if there are any error messages or warnings on the printer's display panel. This might give you a clue about what's causing the problem.
- Update Drivers: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on the devices you're trying to print from. Outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues.
- Network Troubleshooting: If the printer is not connecting via Wi-Fi, try restarting your router. Sometimes, network glitches can affect the printer's connectivity.
- Printer Connection Settings: Go to your printer's settings and ensure that it's set to connect to the correct network. You might need to re-enter the Wi-Fi password if it's changed.
- Firewall and Security Software: Check if any firewall or security software on your devices is blocking the printer's connection. Temporarily disabling such software can help identify if they are causing the issue.
- Reset Network Settings: If all else fails, you might consider resetting the printer's network settings to their default. Refer to the printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
- Firmware Update: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. Manufacturers often release firmware updates that can improve compatibility and fix bugs.
- Wired Connection (if applicable): If possible, try connecting your devices to the printer using a USB cable. This can help determine if the issue is related to the wireless connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
