Please can someone help. I have tried ALL the advice I can find to enable Web Services and NONE of it makes any difference.

The only thing I haven't tried to do is Web proxy Authentication on the touch screen of the printer. It's asking me for a username and password. Where do I go to get these from? I'm just going round in circles here. My ISP is BT.

Thanks in advance

The 7612 may have been affected by the recent ending of Web Services for several HP printer series.

Be sure you have the latest firmware installed on the device.  Check the support page with all the downloads for your model:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Officejet-7610-Wide-Format-e-All-in-One-series/51...

I see a firmware  update with the date of June 22, 2016.  This may fix the issue.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. I came across your post and I'd like to help. I understand that you have an HP Officejet 7612 Wide Format e-All-in-One printer and want to enable Web Services on it. I would suggest you the below steps to make web services work:

  • Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
  • Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
  • Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
  • Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then clicks “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
  • Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)

Secondly, if you would like to know the WPA (Web Proxy Authentication) password then please follow the steps from this link: http://hp.care/2fzN7fC. Let me know how it goes. Cheers!

Thank-you for taking the time to reply. I followed your instructions but Web Services will still not work. Can you suggest anything else? Thanks again for trying to help.

Did you try MKazi's suggestions above for changing the DNS server addresses?
