HP 8610 All In One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an 8610 All in One printer that I typically access wirelessly in my home office.  I will need to bring my printer off site to print Santa photos at an event from my laptop.  What do I need for accessories (cables, etc,) and what are the steps to get this all set up where I won't have wi-fi access?

Thank you,

Use Wireless Direct.

The printer should be advertising it's WiFi name(SSID), something like DIRECT "printer name".

From your laptop connect to that wireless network.

You should then be able to print from there.

Thank you B_Will.

Will I only see that "DIRECT "printer name" when I remove away from my current Wi-Fi?

Thank you.

HP Recommended

No you should see it now, as long as WiFi Direct has not been turned off.

In the front panel of the printer, go to Setup -> Network -> Wireless Direct -> 'ON' the Wireless Direct

Thank you.  I have changed the settings on the printer.  I have been able to print within my home and will take it off-site to test it.
