HPDeskjet 3720 printer. Need password for printing

Hello

I will start by saying I am not very tech savvy. My job entails travelling and obtaining type written statements from people, usually in their homes. I have a HP laptop running windows 10.

A lot of people do not have their own printer, so I needed to buy my own portable printer. I bought a HPDeskjet 3720 printer because it was the smallest I could find. What I planned on doing was setting up my HTC10 as a wifi hotspot (have done this plenty of times with success when linking my laptop to my HTC10) and linking my deskjet so I can print. When I do this my laptop asks for the password. It says I will find the password on the device (printer) but I cannot find anything. I think its a 4 digit its asking for.

I have only ever been able to use my printer, from my laptop when at home and its linked through wifi.

Or is  there another way I could do this like 'print offline'?

I know it sounds ridiculous, because it is I suppose, but that didnt even cross my mind. Thats how hopeless I am with this stuff.

Of course I can take a USB cable and that will solve all my issues. Thanks for your help mate I really appreciate it
