I've been on hours trying to set up my old HP Envy 6032 (6000 all in one printer). This printer is barely used, I haven't used it in about 2 years, so put fresh ink cartridges in. It told me to update my payment info for instant ink even though I don't have an active subscription but I updated that anyway. The set up system has told me over and over again to hold the X button and the front wifi signal button simultaneously but neither are lit up and nothing happens. The printer info page has said at first to click the small back wifi button, which I tried, it's now updated the printer info page to say "The printer is not connected to a network. For more information, contact the person who set up the printer." I am the person who set up the printer and I'm trying to get help to set it up again?! This helps no one and explains nothing! I'm so utterly disappointed and I've never experienced such a nightmare with a printer and never been so close to actively smashing one - can anyone help to advise how I can possibly get this printer to connect to wifi so my laptop can find it?!
Edit: Update, it now has printed a new "Information Page" saying: "The printer is not connected to a network. HOWEVER, wireless is turned on. For printed instructions on how to connect the printer to a wireless network, hold the information button* down for 3 seconds until all buttons are lit, and then press the information button again." Attempted to follow that and it didn't work - held button down, after 3 seconds still nothing, no lights came on and then eventually after about 10 seconds it printed the same info page AGAIN and this happened 3 times. Sending me round in circles and not working or making any sense. I've never known anything like it across any hardware.

If you do not have an Instant Ink subscription, updating the subscription payment information should be impossible -- unless you have now signed up for the Instant Ink subscription service. That said, I might be wrong or missing something.

Wireless
Yes, Wireless on / off button is on the back of the printer

(Wi-Fi button) ● Press to turn on or off the printer wireless capabilities of connecting to a wireless network
with a router or an access point.
● Press and hold for at least three seconds to restore the network settings to default settings.
This will also put the printer back into the Auto Wireless Connect (AWC) setup mode. The
printer must be in the AWC setup mode to connect to the HP Smart app and your network. For
more information, see Connect using the HP Smart app on page 25.

Dual Band Network - Considerations
Reminders
Some printers, particularly older models, only support 2.4GHz
Some printers support both 5GHz and 2.4GHz – but not at the same time
If you are running a Dual Band Network,
Check that the router is set up to broadcast all frequencies it supports.
Next,
If your router supports it,
Create a separate SSID named network for each frequency (5GHz and 2.4GHz).
and
Connect the printer to the SSID network on the frequency / band you want it to use.
In general,
- 2.4GHz is less fussy about obstacles and supports a longer distance (separation) between router and device (printer)
- 5GHz is faster

EWS > HP Document / How-to
Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > IPv4 Configuration
As Available:
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced
Network Interface on / off, Network SSID name, Security Settings, Passphrase / Password
Select and connect to the correct SSID / network name for the bandwidth you are using.
