Hi @COLA3,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
HP DeskJet printers typically don't have a username and password for Wi-Fi connectivity. Instead, they connect to Wi-Fi using the Wi-Fi network's password. If you're having trouble connecting the HP DeskJet 2622 to Wi-Fi, here are some general steps you can follow:
Check the Wi-Fi Settings on the Printer:
- On the printer's control panel, locate the Wireless or Network setup option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Ensure Correct Wi-Fi Password:
- Make sure you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password. It's case-sensitive, so double-check for any typos.
- If you're unsure about the Wi-Fi password, you can check it on your router or ask the person who manages the Wi-Fi network.
Reset the Network Settings:
- Disconnect the power cord from the router.
- Turn off the printer.
- Turn off the mobile device/PC.
- Reconnect the power cord to the router, then wait for the Internet activity light to display a normal connected status.
- Turn on the printer.
- Turn on the mobile device/PC.
Could you please try these steps to connect the printer to the network (in case of dual-band routers, please use the 2.4 Ghz wireless connection for the printer): - Remove HP Smart App from your mobile device (if already installed).
- Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.
- Download and install HP Smart App on your mobile device from the app store.
- Open HP Smart App and follow the onscreen instructions on the screen to connect the printer to a wireless network.
Connect via USB:
- You can temporarily connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable to complete the initial setup. Once connected, you may be able to configure the Wi-Fi settings through the computer.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there are firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware may resolve connectivity issues. Click Here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
