Hi. I am using Envy 5541 All in One printer/scanner. Until recently I seemed to be able to print anything from my Android V10 phone using HP ePrint. HP ePrint now messages to use HP Smart App as ePrint retired.
Downloaded that but HP Smart App not offering an "Any" or "Word" document print option - just PDF and photo ?!
Any ideas please ?

Hi,
Indeed, the HP Smart app does not support Office files on Android devices.
You may install and use the HP Print Service Plugin to print Word files from an Android devices:

Please follow the included document, see the Print with the HP Print Service Plugin section, printing should be done directly from the file and mot from within the app itself, which only manage the print engine ..

Hi I tried that but Word errors with "Microsoft Office Online Privacy Settings need changing to print"
Not tempted to do that, been printing just fine using ePrint before. Seems you need to reduce security to print that way...no way !

You may try selecting Share from the file menu and share it with the HP Smart app or the HP Print Service (whichever are listed) and then try printing, instead of selecting Print, and check if that may provide you better results for your needs.
