Type the printer IP address in the browser address bar, and then press Enter.
NOTE:
Make sure to type the IP address into the Internet browser's address box. If typed into a toolbar search box or search engine, the EWS does not open.
If a website security certificate displays in the Internet browser, click Continue.
The EWS information page for the printer opens.
Click the Settings tab.
Click Security, and then click Administrator Settings.
Under Network Settings, select AirPrint, if it is not already selected, and then click Apply.

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Officejet 8715. I understand that you are unable to login to EWS page and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.
Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,
Perform a network defaults on the printer to reset the password.
- From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch(Setup).
- Touch Network Setup.
- Touch Restore Network Settings.
- A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
- Touch Yes.
- Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.
Once the network defaults is done, you can set a new login password for EWS page.
- Open a web browser and type the printer IP address in the address field exactly as it appears on the Configuration Page,
and then press Enter.
-
Click the Security tab, and under General Security, set the local administrator password.
-
Keep the username default as admin.
-
Type the New Password and Verify Password.
-
Navigate to the bottom of the page and click Apply.
-
Use these credentials the next time you Log In to the EWS.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers.
