Hi @Sandypebbles,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to connect your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer to your iPad and a USB-connected HP printer to your iPad, follow these steps:

Connecting HP LaserJet Pro P1102w to iPad

Ensure Printer is on Wi-Fi:

  • Make sure your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad. You can usually set up Wi-Fi on the printer via its control panel or by using the HP Smart app on a computer.

Download HP Smart App:

Add Printer in HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your iPad.
  • Tap the "+" icon to add a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your LaserJet Pro P1102w from the list of available printers on the same network.

Print from iPad:

  • Once your printer is added, you can print directly from the HP Smart app or use the “Print” option from within any app that supports AirPrint.

Connecting USB Printer to iPad

Directly connecting a USB printer to an iPad isn’t natively supported. However, you can use the following methods:

Using AirPrint-Compatible Printer:

  • If your printer supports AirPrint (a built-in Apple technology for printing over Wi-Fi), connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad. Then you can print from your iPad using the AirPrint feature.

Using a Computer as a Bridge:

  • Connect Printer to Computer: Connect your USB printer to a Windows 10 computer.
  • Enable Sharing: On the Windows 10 computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and choose Printer properties. Go to the Sharing tab and check Share this printer.
  • Connect iPad to Computer: Ensure that the computer and iPad are on the same network. Install the HP Smart app on your iPad and add your shared printer through the app. This setup allows you to print via the computer as a bridge.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
