Hi @JCV03,
Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you are having issues printing using ePrint from your HP OfficeJet Printer. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
What app are you trying to use to print from your Samsung SmartPhone?
Have you tried to update the firmware on the phone?
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the App on your phone?
In the meantime, let's try to perform a power drain on the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- The should be a Samsung print service plugin, you need to disable it on your phones and check if it helps to print.
- IF the printing is not successful then open the HP Smart app, and then select your printer to see if the app displays any issues with the printer.
-
If a notification or message does not display, go to Printing from Android Smartphones or Tablets or Printing from Apple iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, depending on your mobile device.
-
If a notification or message displays, tap the Message icon
on the app home screen, and then follow the on-screen instructions to resolve the issue.

Please refer to this HP document to know more about using the HP Smart app.
If the problem persists then try to uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app.
I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Keep me posted. Cheers!
Eagerly waiting for your response!
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Good evening,
I beleive that you mis-understood my problem.
I can print from the "home" network as long as both my phone and the printer are on the same network.
When I forward an email to the printer's email address from my phone (I have also tried other's phones) nothing prints.
If I forward the email from my computer, it prints just fine.
The problem seems to be that the eprint does not like forwarded emails from an android phone using newer versions of Android (version 7.1.1) as it prints from an android tablet running an older version (5.0.2).
I have tried
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
But it still does not print

Hi @JCV03,
As I understand you are able to print from the computer, however, having issues while printing from Android phones. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.
Have you checked if the issue, happens only with this particular phone or have you tried to use different phones and check if that helps.
Let's try to Install and turn on the HP Print Service Plugin and then use the steps suggested in the support document for - HP Printers - Printing from Android Smartphones or Tablets

Good evening,
I believe that you misunderstood my problem.
I can print from the "home" network as long as both my phone and the printer are on the same network. Using the print function.
When I forward an email to the printer's email address from my phone (I have also tried other's phones) nothing prints. I have tried sending the email from three different phones to the printer's email address and it does not print. I have tried the HP print service plugin.
If I forward the email from my computer, it prints just fine.

but it still does not print when the email is forwarded to the Printer’s email (ePrint) address.
