When I purchased the printer on Amazon, it said " 3 months of Instant Ink included." I registered the printer to HP+ not realizing that this includes automatic supply of ink cartridges and paper. I then cancelled the printer registration on HP web site. Now I inserted one of the "included" cartridges and the printer would not print. I purchased on Amazon a set of non-HP cartridges and the printers is still locked and would not print.
Is there a way for me to use the "included" cartridges, and re-register to HP+ but without subscription to automatically receive cartridges and/or paper?
I buy paper from Costco, a case of 20 reams of 500 pages. I do not need HP to ship paper to me. I can also order cartridges when I need them.
Any suggestions?

Hey @NGat1,
Thank you for your response
You may find the genuine cartridges on the official HP store: Laptop Computers, Desktops, Printers, Ink & Toner | HP® Official Site
I hope this helps.

Hello HP Support. Any answers?
I spent $250 on the printer and it is nothing but a paper weight now.
If HP has no solution -- this will be the last HP product I have purchased (after using HP printers for over 30 years).

@NGat1, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
You can use the regular, non-HP Instant Ink cartridges without needing to subscribe to HP’s Instant Ink program.
Take out the HP Instant Ink cartridges and replace them with your genuine HP regular cartridges.
Reset the Printer: After switching to the regular cartridges, reset the printer by turning it off, waiting for 10 seconds, and then turning it back on. This will allow the printer to work with the new cartridges.
I hope this helps.

I'm looking on Amazon and also on HP web site for "genuine HP cartridges" for the 9120e.
I only see "original HP ink." I want to avoid buying the "instant Ink". Can you please refer me to an HP page that has the right cartridges?

I must reopen this case:
1. I first tried non-HP replacement cartridges and the printer of course did not work
2. I then purchased HP cartridges (original HP in Cartridge) directly from the HP store -- technical support suggested specifically the 962 (black and color). The printer would not recognize these cartridges and would not print. The error message is "incompatible cartridges; the indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer as currently configured. HP+ printers require Original HP Cartridges."
Well I purchased original HP cartridges from the HP store.
My Printer was removed from the Instant Ink plan (I'm not interested in that).
What do I do next?
The printer was about $250 on Amazon. Should I toss it in the trash now? Do you have a better solution?
