Hello.
Came home today to find a document on my printer that I did not print. It was a personal document for a neighbor, I have no idea how they printed it on my printer. How can I secure the printer to prevent this from happening?

Change the default Wi-Fi direct password on your printer.

Change the default Wi-Fi password on your router and ensure the router does not have guest privilege enabled;/

The password on my router was set by Spectrum, and I don't think the problem originates there.
I don't know how to find or change the password on my printer, but if the printer is password protected how was someone able to print to it without the password?

Either blank password,, admin, 1234, or they simply look it up on the internet.  Most Wi-Fi printer have the Wi-Fi direct feature where the printer broadcasts their name and will accept any connection that has the correct password.  Usually 12345678 or simply blank.  Probably an accident.  If malicious they could have printed all black pages which would quickly use up your toner or all your black ink.

What printer mode?
