I'm trying to setup NFC printing from my Google Pixel 2 XL (running Android 9), to my M477fdw
Printer is Lan-connected, Web-connected, email printing is enabled, and Wifi-Direct is also enabled
I know NFC is on & working on my phone, because I can make contactless payments Ok
I've read other posts that say I need to setup HP ePrint on my phone, but then I've also seen that HP ePrint is retired and when I try to activate it, I don't get an activation code in my email (Ive checked Spam/Junk folders)
Also, the HP ePrint app in the Google Store, recomends using the HP Smart app instead
- but I can't see anything about NFC
Can anyone help ?

Hi,
NFC printing was supported by the HP ePrint app which was retired indeed.
I do know that HP Smart do not currently offer any NFC print capabilities,
I am not aware of any future plans to add such capabiltities, but only time will say..

Shlomi

I don't see how this is an "accepted solution". This printer model is specific to include NFC printing; the "fdw" model isn't the fdn or the fnw (I don't know which letter if any means the printer has nfc capability, possibly either the fnw or fdn does; I know they all don't). The printer may go back if this can't be resolved, it is one of the reasons it was purchased, and at this price, all features are expected to operate. Further, if eprint was the enabiling software, I expect something newer replaced it; in this time many/most printer features are software enabled. A company doesn't just remove an expected feature while a current product lists the capability.
