Thanks for stopping by the HP community. A very good day to you. I reviewed the post regarding assistance to disable duplex or two-sided printing. I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description and stupendous diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:
- Did you check the printer settings on your MacBook?
For now, try these steps:
- Please perform a hard reset on the printer from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617267/document/c0048... and follow instructions from the section “Step 1: Reset the printer”
- Then from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617267/document/c0193... (HP Printers - How to Print on Both Sides of the Paper (Mac) (Duplexing) there is a section in the FAQs option “How do I turn off duplex printing?”
Follow instructions from that section. It should resolve the issue. For further assistance please follow instructions from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617267/document/c0470... (HP Printers - Print Driver Settings Guide (Mac)
Check the section “Layout and formatting settings” and turn off duplex printing. It should fix the issue.
Perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck to you. I will keep a watch for your response. Please note that I am not overloading you with steps but instead, giving you more information to work with. We are as eager as you are to get the issue fixed. I request you to perform all these steps till the issue is fixed.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
