I urgently need help with removing a large number of old email addresses. Every time I try to delete them, it asks me multiple times for the pin number.
Can someone please provide advice on how to efficiently delete these old email addresses?
Additionally, if I reset all the email addresses, would that cause any problems?
Your assistance and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi @MaryJane2024,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To delete old email addresses from the HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 series without being prompted for the PIN multiple times, follow these steps.
Deleting Email Addresses:
Access the Printer's Web Interface:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the printer into the address bar. You can find the IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel.
Log In:
- You might need to log in to the printer's web interface. The default credentials are often admin for both username and password, but this could be different if it was changed.
Navigate to Email Settings:
- Once logged in, go to the “Email” or “Scan to Email” settings. This is typically found under the “Scan” or “Email” tab.
Manage Address Book:
- Look for an option to manage or edit the address book. This section should list all the email addresses stored in the printer.
Delete Email Addresses:
- Select the email addresses you wish to delete. There should be a “Delete” or “Remove” option. Confirm the deletion.
Resetting All Email Addresses:
If you choose to reset all email addresses, this will remove all stored email addresses from the printer. After resetting, you will need to reconfigure any new email addresses you want to use. This can be helpful if there are numerous old addresses to remove and you want to start fresh.
Important Considerations:
- Back Up Important Settings: If you have any other important settings related to email or scanning, ensure these are noted down or backed up before resetting.
- Reconfigure Settings: After resetting, you’ll need to reconfigure the printer for email functionality.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
