How to get my ePrint email address released

I've recently replaced my LaserJet Pro M251nw with an MFP M277dw, and unfortunately I can't figure out which email address I used to install the web print services, and I want to use the old email address that I had with my printer (@hpeprint.com) with the new printer. I uninstalled the print services, and the email address is reset on the old printer, but it still won't let me use the previous @hpeprint email address, claiming it is taken, even though it is not associated with any printer now (confirmed by printing the information sheet again). Is there any way that I can get that email address back?

I understand that you want to reuse your old printer email address with your new printer. 

Please note that you can reuse your customized email address after 6 months when:

• You turned off Web Services on your printer and transferred your printer to a different HP Connected account.

• You want to use an existing printer email address with a different printer on a different HP Connected account.
