Print size, including the overall document and the size of the fonts in the document, is controlled within the application (program) you use to submit the job to the printer.

Browsers, document editors, PDF Readers, and photo viewing / printing programs all provide some form of "Print Preview", Properties, or Page Setup to allow you adjust the size and other important settings.

If you have not done so:

  • Download, save, and install the Full Feature Software for your printer and Operating System:

EN7640__Full_WebPack_1107.exe

(103.0 MB)

  • When the installation is complete, Restart the computer and log in.

Examples

Adjust a full webpage view before printing the webpage / document:

PC

Ctrl +    (Control key and Plus key at the same time > page contents larger)

Ctrl -     (Control key and Dash key together > page contents smaller)

Ctrl 0    (Control key and 0 (zero) > reset page to Default)

Mac OS

** Cmd +      larger

     Cmd     smaller

** Command key

Print Preview – Firefox

Right-Click a clear space along the top ribbon in Firefox > CHECK Menu Bar

Firefox > File > [Print] > Print Preview >

Scale: Select Percentage OR Shrink to Fit

Page Setup > tab Format & Options (wording varies)

  • Shrink to fit page Width:

Setting is useful to control text / images that might otherwise extend beyond the sides.

NOTE:  Ensure Scale is NOT set to zero

Internet Explorer - Print Preview

Internet Explorer > File > Print Preview >

Shrink to Fit > Fit the page contents to paper

OR

Internet Explorer > File > Page Setup >

UNCHECK Enable Shrink to Fit >>   Set page contents at 100%

Internet Explorer > File > Print Preview >

Settings wheel    >>

In Page Setup: Adjust Margins

and/or adjust Paper Options

Chrome - Print Preview settings

Chrome > Settings > Print > More Settings

  • If margins are left at Default, the print may start 2 inches from the top of the paper >> check!
  • If needful, adjust your margins and / or settings to Fit-to-Width
  • Switch on / off printing of Headers and Footers
  • Depending on your version of Chrome / OS, access Chrome Settings

Things that are Word...

Settings in Word > Options have an impact on output

  • Scaling – Paper Size Auto Adjustment

Word document > File > Options >

Under Print >>   Clear / Uncheck Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11" paper sizes

NOTE:  This setting can be counter-intuitive; investigate both the CHECKED and UNCHECKED settings; select the setting that provides the desired result.

The following might apply to per page output up to sixteen-per-page:

Word document > File > Print Preview > Page Setup > tab Layout >>

Under Page Format >>

Ensure Pages per Sheet is set to 1

  • Scaling Output – Document Format > Printed Paper Size
