Hi everyone.
I got myself a second 3777 printer because I was very satisfied with the first one.
However these problems came up:
1- after the second file I printed wirelessly from word in ipad (I had no trouble setting it up to the wifi the first time), the printer was not found by the ipad.
2- i tried to set it up again, but i found the direct printing ssid. I connected with that, but i couldn’t print from the word app.
3- i saw that the blue light was blinking, when it was steady on the first two print jobs.
in between the second and third jobs, there was no change in the environment, no settings change, no power interruption.
how can I restore the stable wifi connection with the printer and the ipad? The ipad is consistently connected to the same wifi connection, but the printer “can’t find it”
can direct printing do print jobs in the word app? There seems to be no link between the files stored in the ipad from word and the available files in the hp print app.
will appreciate anyone’s help!

Hi @alxby
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. Let us try these steps:
Restore the network settings on the printer
Hold down the Wireless button and the cancel button together for 3 seconds and release it. the blue wireless light will start blinking.
Use WPS to connect the printer to your wireless network.
-
Locate the WPS button on your router, but do not press it yet.
If your router does not support WPS, skip to the next step to connect the printer with the HP Smart app.
-
Turn on the printer. If the printer is in sleep mode, press the Cancel button on the control panel.
-
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button
for at least 3 seconds or until the wireless light starts to flash.
-
On the router, press and hold the WPS button for 3 to 5 seconds or until it shows that the WPS connection process has started.
NOTE: The printer stops searching for a WPS connection two minutes after the wireless button is pressed. If you were unable to press the WPS button within that timeframe, attempt these steps again.
Once the printer connects to the wireless network, the blue Wireless light on the control panel turns on solid.
- Make sure the printer and the iOS device are connected to the same wireless network.
- This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the iOS device should be on the 2.4GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
Print using AirPrint driver from your iOS device
-
Make sure the printer is turned on, ink cartridges are installed, and plain paper is loaded in the main tray.
-
Open the item you want to print, and then tap the Share icon
or
.
-
Tap Print or the Print icon
to open Printer Options.
-
Tap Select Printer to select your printer.
-
Change any of the following print job settings. Available settings vary depending on the app you are printing from, the print job type, and your printer.
-
Paper: Make any paper size changes on the printer. AirPrint automatically detects the paper size loaded in the printer or the size selected on the printer control panel. If the detected size is different than the paper in the tray, an error might display asking to confirm the size.
-
Number of copies: Select how many copies you want to print.
-
Black & White: Select to print in grayscale. This option only displays for color printers.
-
Double-sided printing: Print on both sides of the paper for certain file types.
-
Page range: Select specific pages within a document or webpage to print.
-
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
