I've recently bought an Office JetPro 9022e ( as an replacment for my 10 year old Office Pro).
However when I unboxed and set up the printer first time I read in the instructions, but anyway it just failed.
I've downladed the app ( Hp Smart & Hp Printer Driver Plugin) from Play store.
I have an tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S9Fe ( SM- X516B)- Android 13.
So when I've tryed to set up my printer I activated WIFI-> WIFI- Direct( on my device I have to open settings to get acess to WIFI- Direct).
Since my device is an 5G version, but however it also support 2.4Ghz as well.
Since it failed (couldn't even set up a stable WIFI- Connection), since I didn't knew my WIFI- Code, i just gave up.
So I set up my printer the old fashion way= as an local printer with USB. ( Windows 10)
However I don't know how a printer set up ( as a local printer with USB, or as an Network printer,or if I just use it with WIFI) affects my acessability to change it later on as an WIFI- Direct printer.
But however after a couple of resets on my tablet,as well on the printer itself; the app can't establish any acess with the printer.
Because however in the past my tablet wasn't even accepted on the printer, but now it recognize my tablet( is in the list as an connected device).
But the issue is when I'm using the printer Smart App.
I just got an error message that there isn't any internet acess with the printer. Since I also have an error light that there is something with my IP- Adress. ( on the printer display)
However since I didn't set up any account on my printer( didn't log in)- I just used it as an stand off printer.
But what's more strange is that I have my printer on my WIFI- list on the tablet, as well on the printer itself.
So it seems that the printer had established some connection, but it seems that the issue is either with the app or with the driver itself.

Hi @Tompa25,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with connecting your Printer to the network.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!
