My hp envy 4520 is printing blank pages. I’m not printing from a computer, I use my phone to send it through WiFi. I’ve tried unplugging it, waiting, then turning it back on and “cleaning smears” option. It’s plugged directly into a wall. It has genuine Hp cartridges, and they are not empty(as far as what the printer says they are half full.) I’ve tried copying a document and still prints out blank. What else can I do?

Let's try these steps:
Step 1: cleaning the ink cartridges using the automated tool.
Cleaning the ink cartridges can improve print quality. Clean the ink cartridges from the printer control panel, then evaluate the results.
-
Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.
-
On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, then touch Setup
-
Touch Tools, then touch Clean Cartridges.
-
The printer prints a Print Quality Diagnostic report.
-
-
Examine the print quality on the Print Quality Diagnostic report.
-
If the print quality is unacceptable, click Yes when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.
-
Perform up to 3 levels of cleaning if necessary
-
If the quality is satisfactory after cleaning, try to print/copy and check the quality
-
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step
Step 2: Manually clean the area around the ink nozzles
-
Gather the following materials:
-
Dry foam rubber swabs, lint-free cloth, or any soft material that does not come apart or leave fibers (coffee filters work well)
-
Distilled, filtered, or bottled water (tap water might contain contaminants that can damage the ink cartridges)
-
-
Open the cartridge access door
-
Remove the ink cartridges
-
Hold the cartridges by its sides and clean the cartridges.
-
Nozzle plate - Do not clean
-
The area surrounding ink nozzle - Do clean
-
Ink cartridge contacts - Do not clean
- Either let the ink cartridge sit for 10 minutes to allow the cleaned area to dry, or use a new swab to dry it.
- Re-insert the ink cartridges.
- Close the cartridge door.
- Try to print/copy
