Hi @Nitin472,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The HP Laser 1008w does not have the Print Anywhere feature due to its lack of cloud printing capabilities like HP ePrint or HP Smart Advance. However, you can still explore remote printing options.
If your printer is connected to a PC, you can remotely access that PC using tools like Windows Remote Desktop, AnyDesk, or TeamViewer to send print jobs.
Alternatively, while Google Cloud Print is no longer available, you could use a service like Mobility Print by PaperCut as a workaround for setting up remote printing.
If you're on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer, you can use the HP Smart App to print wirelessly from your computer or mobile device.
Let me know if you'd like further assistance!
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Hi @Nitin472,
Thank you for the response.
The HP Laser 1008w does not support HP’s Print Anywhere feature because it lacks cloud printing capabilities like HP ePrint or HP Smart Advance. However, you can try these workarounds to print remotely from anywhere:
1. Use Remote Desktop Software (Recommended)
If your printer is connected to a PC, you can use remote access software to send print jobs:
- AnyDesk (Free for personal use)
- TeamViewer (Free for personal use)
- Windows Remote Desktop (Built-in for Windows Pro users)
Steps:
- Install AnyDesk (or any other remote desktop software) on your PC.
- Install the same software on your mobile.
- Remotely access your PC and print from there.
2. Google Cloud Print Alternatives
Google Cloud Print was discontinued, but you can use:
- Mobility Print (by PaperCut) → Download Here
- PrinterShare Mobile App (Limited free prints, paid version available)
- PrintHand Mobile Print (Paid app, works with network-connected printers)
These apps can sometimes enable remote printing by setting up the printer as a shared network device.
3. HP Smart App (Only for Local Network)
- The HP Smart App lets you print wirelessly from your phone, but only if you're on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- If you’re away, you can’t send print jobs directly.
4. Connect Printer to a Router with a Print Server
If your Wi-Fi router supports a print server, you may be able to enable printing from anywhere:
- Connect the printer to the router via USB (if your router has a USB port).
- Enable printer sharing on the router’s settings.
- Use a remote printing app to send print jobs.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
