My internet provider sent me a new modem, and the printer still thinks it is connected to the old one, and there doesn't seem to be any way to erase the old and put in the new

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Resetting the printer network settings should clear the previous wireless settings saved on the printer. Let's try these steps:
1.) Restart your printer, on the printer control panel, press the Wireless button.
2.) Press the Setup button. Press the down arrow box to scroll down and select Tools.
3.) Press the OK button. Scroll down and select Restore Defaults. Press OK button.
4.) Use steps 3 and 4 from this document to connect the printer to your home WiFi.
Let me know how it goes!

I tried every possible button on the printer in every possible combination, but nothing worked. I downloaded the app suggested by the HP site, only to find it couldn’t work, as my printer was not connected to the wifi. I appreciate you responding, but as you are an employee of HP, I have to let you know that the help site is useless, and that HP needs to do better, or maybe have some way for customers to get in touch with an actual human being!
The problem was solved by getting in touch with my internet provider, where I was able to speak to a person, who was very helpful. I had to go online and enable the WPS button, and then I could reset the printer.
