I have a HP desk jet(product no:K4T97A)
it was gifted to me a while ago and I’m not able to use it because I don’t know the password for the Wi-Fi. If anyone knows how to reset the password please reply!! Or if there is a way to use it without the Wi-Fi being connected also reply! Thanks!

Hi @Jazzyfrog,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you want to use your HP Deskjet 3637 without connecting it to Wi-Fi, you can do so by connecting it directly to your computer using a USB cable. Here's how.
- Connect the Printer to your Computer: Use a USB cable to connect your printer to your computer. Make sure the printer is turned on.
- Install Printer Drivers: If you haven't already done so, you might need to install the printer drivers on your computer. You can usually find the necessary drivers on the HP website. Follow the instructions to download and install the drivers for your printer model.
- Set Up Printer: Once the drivers are installed, your computer should recognize the printer. You can now set it up as your default printer and start printing documents.
If you still want to connect your printer to Wi-Fi but don't know the password, you can typically reset the printer's network settings to factory defaults. However, this process may vary depending on the printer model. Here's a general guide for HP printers:
- Turn on the Printer: Make sure your printer is turned on.
- Press and Hold Buttons: Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer control panel for about five seconds. Release the button when the Wireless light starts blinking.
- Print Network Configuration Page: Once the Wireless light stops blinking, press the Start Copy Black button twice or the Start Copy Color button twice. This will print a network configuration page.
- Find Default Settings: Look for the section on the network configuration page that shows the default network settings, including the default SSID (network name) and password.
- Connect to Printer: Use these default settings to connect your computer or mobile device to the printer's Wi-Fi network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
