Hi @Erinjason,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand that you're having trouble with your HP ENVY 6052e printer.

Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

1. Check Printer Status

  • Power and Connectivity: Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.
  • Paper and Ink: Make sure the printer has paper and enough ink or toner.

2. Restart Devices

  • Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a minute, then turn it back on.
  • Phone: Restart your phone.

3. Verify Wi-Fi Connection

  • Wi-Fi Signal: Check that your printer and phone have a strong Wi-Fi signal.
  • Same Network: Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

4. Reconnect the Printer

  • Forget and Reconnect: On your phone, forget the printer in the Wi-Fi settings and then reconnect.

5. Update Software

  • Printer Firmware: Check for any firmware updates for your printer and install them if available.
  • App Updates: Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app (or whatever app you're using to print) installed on your phone.

6. Print from a Different App

  • Alternate App: Try printing from a different app to see if the problem persists. Sometimes the issue can be with the specific app you're using.

7. Print a Test Page

  • Test Page: Use the HP Smart app to print a test page to verify that the printer itself is functioning properly.

8. Check Printer Queue

  • Print Queue: Check the print queue on your phone to ensure there are no stuck print jobs.

9. Reset Network Settings

  • Printer Network Reset: On your printer, go to the network settings and perform a network reset. Then reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network.

10. Reinstall Printer

  • Remove and Reinstall: Remove the printer from your phone's list of printers and then add it again.

Detailed Steps for Some Key Actions:

How to Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  1. On your phone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Find your printer’s Wi-Fi network and select it.
  3. Choose the option to forget the network.
  4. Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network following the usual procedure.

How to Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your phone.
  2. Select your printer.
  3. Look for an option related to printer settings or maintenance.
  4. Check for firmware updates and install any available updates.

Print a Test Page:

  1. Open the HP Smart app.
  2. Select your printer.
  3. Find the option for printer maintenance or tools.
  4. Choose to print a test page.
