Not sure if I'm posting the question in the right place, but I received a "Welcome Mail" giving me my username (the email address I received the email from) and a pin number. The problem is I didn't scan anything and configure that email address as the recipient of said scan. So from a security perspective, what should I do?

What we know:
Unknown printer - unknown configuration - apparently you did not intend to set up Scan to Email.
You may have set this up without meaning to do so.
Think about it - decide.
As long as you are not subscribed to Instant Ink,
Switch off Web Services on your printer.
Open website: HP Smart / HP Connected
Open category How to > Turning On Web Services (Includes “Turn off Web Services” help)
Website Support Troubleshooting, How-to, Video Tutorials
