HP Envy 4520 with InstaInk

Does anyone know how to get instaink to work in a school setting. Bought my printer and the insta ink service last school year, and it worked great. This year my tech said new security measures have changed the schools open network/wifi access.

InstaInk has stopped working because they can't keep track of my printing....uuuugggh

Help! PLEASE!

Greetings and Welcome to the HP Support Community.

To receive inks on time, your printer must be connected to the Internet so we know when to send you ink. While enrolled with Instant Ink, your printer will also automatically receive and apply any necessary updates.

Due to the changes in the Wi-Fi security settings, you will not be able to connect.

But what you can do - either connect your printer to a private network or connect the printer to a private network every now and then as this will help connect the printer to the Instant Ink server and keep the page count and ink levels up-to-date (Not a recommended method but it should get you the ink).

Hope this helps!
