Hello,

Please help!

I cannot get Instant Ink to connect, but the HP Printer Assistant indicates that the black is getting close to being empty.  I have the notification below (see snippet) on the https://instantink.hpconnected.com/us/en/r/subscriptions/ webpage.

instantink00.PNG

And this is the status (see snippet).

instantink01.PNG

I refreshed the page, but the status did not change.

I ran the Web Services diagnostics report and the Web Access Test Results fails at DNS with a FAIL flag for "Accessible."  I followed the instructions on the print page (disconnect router's power, wait 30 seconds, reconnect; turn off printer then turn back on; wait 60 seconds and re-run report).  After trying to set up Web Services again, the report then failed at "Test Server" with a FAIL flag at "Accessible."  The instructions stated "The server might be busy or temporarily unavailable.  However, the Internet connection and Web services might still be functioning properly."

I have also restored the Network Settings and re-connected to wireless.

I have also unplugged the router, turned off and unplugged the printer, turned off the computer, then waited for over a minute, reconnected the router, plugged the printer back in and turned it on, and turned the computer back on.  This did nothing.

I am able to print (obviously, since the Web Access Test Results are printed), but on the printer I get the message "Connect printer to update HP Instant Ink status."  If I click "OK," the page prints.  If I click "Connect," then it prints the page and goes to the HP ePrint setup screen (on the printer).  When I click "Setup," it asks me to accept the new ToS.  I click "Accept,"  and it show the spinning wheel with the message "Setting up Web Services..."   This goes on for a minute, but fails, going to a

printer screen titled "Server Problem" with the message "The printer could not run the Web Access Test.  The Internet connection and Web Services might still be functioning properly.  Try again later."  I click "OK" and get the screen titled "Set Up Unsuccessful" with the message "Web Services could not be set up.  Note: HP Instant Ink will not work properly unless Web Services is set up."  I've clicked "Retry" many times over the course of two hours, but get the same result.

I've also tried to set up Web Services by entering the IP address of the printer (10.0.0.10) into Google Chrome and MS Edge, but these methods fail as well.

Please help!

Hi @misha_spisok

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try and set a manual ip -

To set a manual IP and try the steps below ( with control panel)

--->Touch on the wifi icon ((i)) on the printer, and take down the IP address
--->Open a web browser (ex Chrome or Mozilla) and type in the printer's IP
--->then go to network ---> general ---> network protocols ---> select IPV4 only-->apply
--->go to wireless ---> wireless 802.11---> select manual ip ---> apply
--->Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.
--->then go to settings on the main ews page --> power management ---> select sleep mode to max 15min

Let's disable web services and re-enable it

--->Touch on the wifi icon ((i)) on the printer, and take down the IP address
--->Open a web browser (ex Chrome or Mozilla) and type in the printer's IP
---> click on web services and remove web services and re-enable it
