I've set up multiple HP printers that are airprint compatible before, and none of them had any trouble printing from Apple devices.  This one, however, doesn't show up on any device.  2 iPhones and an iPad.  ePrint does work, though not super-well, and obviously isn't a replacement for airprint which can print nearly anything on the iPhone.  ePrint seems to only print text and i guess images... i cant get it to print a web page, for instance, or a document from a third party program.  So, suffice to say ePrint isn't capable.

HP lists the 7520 "series" as Airprint compatible.  There is nothing special about this wifi network - WPA encryption, all devices are on it obviously.  Printer works normally otherwise.  Any suggestions for what I can try to get this thing working?  Or just send it back?

Thanks, that link could be very helpful. My client also uses a Comcast router, so hopefully that turns out to be it. When I go back I'll try another router. Never thought the router could impact that service. Thanks!

I to had the same problem with my HP 7525 printer--sometimes it would print from IPhone and IPad and sometimes not.  I read where is could be the Comcast Modum/router causing the problem.  I connected a Netgear surplus router into the Comcast router and set the computer, printer and all other devices to the netgear router and all is well.  Plus the phone still works connected thru the Comcast router.

Hope this helps
