Hi there I have HP ENVY 4527 All-in-One Printer
it’s connected to wifi & my other iPhone 12 can AirPrint no issues however my iPhone 15 since the iOS 18.0.1 I just can’t get anything to print connected to same internet it sees the printer when I’m going to print but it’s like it just doesn’t send it I don’t get the message connecting to printer that normally pops up & gives you option to cancel print & it doesn’t print I’ve even sat with phone right next to it to no avail. I’ve reset network settings on printer reset router reset phone but still won’t send it to the printer
any ideas

Hi @Shm319,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your iPhone 15 running iOS 18.0.1 is having trouble sending the print job to your HP ENVY 4527 printer, despite being connected to the same network and the printer being detected.
Since you've already reset the network settings on the printer, router, and phone without success, here are some additional steps you can try.
Check Printer Firmware
- Ensure that your HP ENVY 4527 printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes HP releases updates to fix compatibility issues with new iOS versions.
- You can check for printer firmware updates via the HP Smart App or by visiting the HP website.
Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi
- On the printer, forget the current Wi-Fi network and reconnect. This can refresh the connection.
- Go to Wireless Settings on your printer.
- Select Forget Network and then reconnect by entering your Wi-Fi password again.
Reset iPhone Network Settings
- It’s possible that the iOS update caused some network issues with the AirPrint protocol.
- To reset network settings on the iPhone 15:
- Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Manually Assign IP Address to the Printer
- Your router might have changed the IP address assigned to the printer, causing a conflict with AirPrint.
- Access your printer’s IP settings from the Wireless menu and assign a Static IP Address.
- Once set, try printing again.
Disable VPN (if active)
- If you have a VPN enabled on your iPhone 15, try disabling it temporarily, as some VPNs can interfere with local network printing.
Try Printing from Another App
- Sometimes the app you're using to print may have a compatibility issue. Try printing from another app, like Notes or Safari, and see if the problem persists.
Reboot All Devices Together
- Power off the iPhone, printer, and router at the same time. Wait for 2-3 minutes, and then power them back on, starting with the router, followed by the printer, and lastly the iPhone.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
