MUST YOU HAVE WIFI FOR AN ENVY 7155 PRINTER

Just recieved new printer from HP. It is the ENVY 7155. No instructions on setting up connected to cpu. I do not have WIFI and did advise sales department of this when this one was reccomended to me. Does this printer have to have WIFI?

Welcome to HP Support Forum. The answer is NO, yu can use USB connection because printer has

    1 USB 2.0 client ; 1 Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, dual band wifi 2.4/5Ghz, BLE,SD card slot

Unfortunately HP does not supply printer USB cable

     No, please purchase USB cable separately.

Please buy a printer cable which is similar to the following cable

        https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Hi-Speed-Cable-Type-Type-B/dp/B00004Z5M1

(The round/square end is for printer USB port at the back).

You then use the CD to install printer software and drivers and ONLY plug the USB cable in when the process asking for and try to avoid USB 3.0 port.

More than KUDOS to you. Spoke with many reps from HP sales dept to tech dept (hours of my time and theirs) and no one was able to answer my concern with the ease that you did. My print ENVY7155 is up and running. Thanks JJ
