I have reset router, printer, computer. They have communicated fine for 2 years but now my computer does not recognize even as a wireless device. It doesn't come up in my selections. I am wondering if my Mac has updating has surpassed the HP software. Is there a way to update printer?

@Suzt24, Welcome to HP Support Community!
To be able to assist you better, I would like to know the following:
- Are the printer and PC connected to the same network?
- Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz?
- Is there any antivirus software installed on your computer?
- Could you perform a ping test using the Mac Network Utility and let me know the results?
Use the printer IP address to perform a ping test, the printer IP can be located by selecting the wireless icon on the printer display. Share the results with us.
The wireless status menu on your Mac should also give us quite a lot of information that would help us identify the issue. You can press and hold option-click the WiFi icon and then use shift-command-5 to take the screenshot. Press the space bar when the icon turns into a camera.
Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.
For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Also, try removing and adding the printer back using AirPrint.
Follow the steps below:
Remove the printer-
Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners
Click the printer name, click the minus - sign to delete the printer.
Add the printer-
Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners
Click the plus + sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name and then continue to the next step.
Confirm AirPrint or Secure AirPrint displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add
Try printing.
Keep me posted for further assistance.
