Hi @Oconnos05,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Make sure paper is loaded correctly:
- Check the paper width guides: Ensure that the paper-width guides in the input tray are set to the correct markings for the paper size you are loading.
- Align the paper: Ensure the stack of paper is aligned with the appropriate paper size lines on the bottom of the input tray and does not exceed the stack height indicated by one or more labels on the side or paper-width guide of the input tray.
- Check for curl: Make sure paper in the tray is not curled. Uncurl paper by bending it in the opposite direction of the curl.
Address paper not picked up from the tray:
- Fan the paper: Fan the paper before loading it into the tray.
- Load paper correctly: Ensure paper is laid flat in the input tray, and the edges are not bent or torn.
Verify paper feed settings:
- Ensure sufficient stack: Load a stack of paper (not just one page). All the paper should be of the same size and type to avoid paper jams.
- Check for obstructions: Remove any obstructions that might be in the paper path within the tray or the printer.
Steps to troubleshoot using the printer:
- Open and close the access doors: Open the front door and the cartridge access door, and check for any jams around the print carriage.
- Reseat the tray: Remove and reinsert the input tray correctly.
Printer Hardware Issues:
- Restart the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord and wait for 15 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
- Connection Check: Ensure the printer's power cord is firmly connected to a functioning power outlet.
I hope this helps.
