Envy 5530
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Envy 5530 printer is stuck in a 'Paper Jam Error' loop. I have cleaned the rollers, I have used compressed air to dust everywhere insidethe printer, I have tried turning the printer off then on, I have removed ALL paper from the slot. Nothing is in the que waiting to be printed, I cannot run a system diagnostic because one, I cannot get to the home page on the printer, and two, because the printer is telling my computer there is a paper jam I cannot use my computer to order a test either. I do not know what else to try.

TIA, Kat

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Envy 5530 Printer. I understand that your are getting paper jam issue and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

Perform a power reset.

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  6. Turn on the printer

Clear any jammed paper from the printer.

Clean the paper rollers behind the cartridge access area.

Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
