Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus-All-in-One Printer, which has worked perfectly for years - until today.  Suddenly and inexplicably, it stopped connecting to my wireless network.  When I go on the printer's interface, I go to settings and try to connect to my wireless network.  However, when I go to that setting, I see other networks pop up but not mine. I also then try to input the wireless network manually and it says it can't find it.  I know it's not my network, for all of the computers in our house connect to the network just fine. I tried resetting both the router and the printer, but this made no difference.

As an FYI, I did "Restore System Defaults" in the printer, hoping that would clear this issue up.  But when I attempt to Wireless Setup Wizard, it still cannot "see" my wireless network.  I see other networks around my house, but not mine.  This is driving me nuts.  Again, everything worked just fine for years until today.

Does anyone know how to fix this / how to get my printer to "see" my wireless network so that I can get it reconnected?

THANK YOU in advance for any help you can give!

Welcome to the HP support community.

Note:- The HP ENVY 4500 series only supports connections using 2.4GHz.

Restore network settings to default settings

1. Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.

2. Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, select Reports, and then select Print Network Configuration Page to print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.

Update the printer firmware

Here are the steps:- Click here

Connect the printer using Wireless setup Wizard

1. Set up the printer hardware. See the getting started guide or the setup poster that came with your printer.

2. On the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network.

3. Touch Wireless, touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then touch OK.

4. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
